Lux Center for the Arts Classes, Lincoln NE

Lux Center for the Arts in Lincoln, Nebraska has a scholarship program available for low-income youth to take art classes. Youth scholarships are available to children aged 5 through 18. Scholarships are awarded on on a first come, first serve basis. Parents and guardians must include a form documenting proof of need; the school lunch assistance form is often used. Teachers and counselors may write letters of recommendation but this is not necessary.

Scholarships usually cover full tuition. Only one scholarship per child is awarded per trimester. Multiple scholarships can be awarded to a single household. Scholarships are funded by local foundation, local businesses and corporations, private individuals, and fundraising through the sale of student art at the Lux Center. Please call 402-466-8692 to request a copy of the scholarship application or contact the education director at brant@luxcenter.org.
