Heading to NAEA Convention in April in Minneapolis?
Share your need for help with travel plans, accommodations, conference offerings....you name it! Anything that will help those attending the conference.
Bring lots of address labels for the vendors. This saves you time and it is easier than filling out all the slips for free drawings for prizes. Also, don't pick up everything and every catalog from the vendors only to leave them for the hotel to throw away; take what you will use or recycle it. Angie Fischer, OPS
Anyone attending the conference must pay the conference registration; active NAEA members fee is $130. Any additional ticketed events are also a charge. The Crayola party is free; typically, there is a transportation fee to get participants there. However, the party is in the hotel this year. Bob Reeker LPS
I am going to the National Conference for the first time. I will only be there for Friday and Sat. For college credit I need to take 10 workshops, get presenters signatures and write about them. I know that keynotes and banquet would be ticket events, do you know if the Crayola night thing is? Sounds like it would have wonderful stuff to look at. I was going to pay the reg. fee but don't think I actually need to reg for anything if I am just taking those daily workshops.
If you are presenting in Minneapolis, you can avoid taking handouts to give to attendees. Either use the new wiki system on the NAEA website to post your handouts or use your own website/server to post. I print up business cards with all my information on them, including the site address of my presentation/hand outs and give to those who attend my presentations. Bob Reeker LPS
